Ibiza, not only world famous as the party island, but also as the holiday paradise, kissed by the sun. It is an island with vast contrasts. During daytime the many small bays offer a variety of different beaches – sand, shingle and rocks -, but always with one or more smaller and bigger bars and restaurants where you can eat and drink your fill. The sea is very clear, in fact the sea around Ibiza is considered one of the purest parts of the Mediterranean, there are no dangerous currents and often the beach slopes gradually down to make the sea also accessible for children.
It is nearly never really to hot on Ibiza. The light sea breeze always takes care of a very necessary cooling down, and if you want to get out of the sun, you can rent a sun-shade or sit in the shade that is offered by a nearby terrace. On most beaches you can rent  sun beds, water scooters, air mattresses or water bikes, so you won’t get bored.
The inhabitants are very friendly and very tolerant. They have the attitude: “live and let live” and they know that the summer won’t last forever. This feeling is also displayed during the night time when all of Ibiza seems to celebrate one big party until the wee small hours of the morning and even after that. But these hectic circumstances you won’t find in the inland where people live just as they did decades ago, and where not many tourists venture out to meet this other Ibiza.
On this island we made a choice of various holiday houses that are both comfortable, have a good location, often with sea view, and a good quality/price ratio. All houses are privately owned, never part of a holiday factory and reflect the owners personal disposition, so you can spend your holiday as part of the Ibiza that appeals to the people who live there as long time residents.
